Published on .

Mountain View, Calif.-Ariba Inc. and i2 Technologies Inc. this week launched separate programs to help suppliers join b-to-b e-marketplaces. The Ariba Supplier Hub Program is focused on hooking up so-called supplier hubs, which in one fell swoop can add many suppliers onto b-to-b trading networks. Ariba launched the program with a handful of supplier hub partners, including Impresse Corp. within the printing industry, Viacore Inc. within the electronics space and Microsoft Corp.'s bCentral Web site, which focuses on small businesses. Separately, i2 unveiled a new software suite based on its TradeMatrix technology, dubbed Supplier Relationship Management. The suite will help companies manage complex supply chain relations with their trading partners.
