Mountain View, Calif.--Ariba Inc. and IBM Corp.--along with i2Technologies Inc.--have been chasing and winning e-marketplace deals together. But the partners' plans to work together go deeper. On Tuesday, Ariba and IBM detailed a new offering designed to provide suppliers with all the hardware, software, financing, networking and implementation services they need to start conducting commerce with key buyers and e-marketplaces. Ariba, which has traditionally been focused on serving the very largest buyers, is increasingly turning its attention to supplier enablement.
