Ariba reports break-even quarter

Mountain View, Calif. --Ariba Inc. continues its move out of the red. The company reported a net loss of $1.1 million, which on its balance sheet amounts to virtual break-even on a per-share basis. Revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter was $134.9 million, up 67% from the previous quarter and 687% over last year's fourth quarter. Fiscal 2000 revenues came in at $279.0 million. Ariba also announced contracts with Deere & Co. and Softbank Corp.
