Chicago-based Arthur Andersen L.L.P. and Maxager Technology Inc., a San Rafael, Calif.-based b-to-b software company, have entered a broad consulting and marketing pact. Maxager will train 150 Arthur Andersen consultants to market and implement Maxager's software, which analyzes profitability and pricing information. Arthur Andersen recently began a high-profile marketing campaign to boost recognition of its e-business consulting service. It faces a tough battle against other big consulting firms, which have made countless software company deals akin to the Maxager pact.
