Westfield, N.J.—The Association of Medical Publications announced the finalists for the third annual Doctor’s Choice Awards, which recognize excellence in medical journal advertising as judged by physicians.
The awards use an e-mail survey in which doctors rate more than 300 ads representing the most widely advertised products in 2004. More than 7,500 physicians responded.
Merck, Pfizer and SanofiAventis each had two ads that received the highest scores in their categories.
The winners—pharmaceutical manufacturers and their advertising agencies—will be honored at a dinner in New York on Oct. 11.
