Attensity, Twitter partner on 'Firehose' monitoring

Palo Alto, Calif.—Text analytics company Attensity Group has reached an agreement with Twitter to listen to, analyze and act on Twitter's full data feed of customer feedback and conversation.

Attensity will monitor Twitter's so-called “Firehose” of posts with its Exhaustive Extraction tool for social media monitoring and response, voice of the customer analysis, crisis response and churn analysis. Reports and actions will be generated via the company's text analysis solutions, Attensity Analyze and Attensity Respond, according to the company.

Twitter began opening its Firehose stream to third parties in spring 2010 to allow searches for specific products and brands, with such real-time search companies as Collecta, Crowdeye and Twazzup participating.
