Automotive exchange going mainstream

Published on .

The Automotive Network Exchange has announced that Franco Public Relations and advertising agency Above All have launched a brand advertising campaign for its secure Internet services. The move signals that Detroit-based ANX will try to gain a foothold in industries other than automotive for services that allow companies to share Internet software applications with business partners in a secure environment. ANX was originally designed for the automotive industry as a means for collaboration without relying on a public Internet service provider. After successfully launching the system, the shepherd of the project, Science Applications International Corp., realized the basic architecture would be of use to other industry trading exchanges. The service was renamed ANXeBusiness to broaden its appeal.
