New York—B-to-b magazine ad pages declined 30.15% in the first half of this year, compared with the year-earlier period, according to Business Information Network data released Tuesday by American Business Media.

Ad pages declined 32.8% in June compared with June 2008.

Additionally, according to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research, trade show revenue declined 18.6% in the first half. Magazine revenue declined 26.5% during the same period, which amounted to a trade show and magazine decline of 22.3%. “While the economy has had an obviously negative impact on b-to-b magazines and trade shows, digital b-to-b media, custom media and data businesses continue to impact positively,” Gordon T. Hughes II, president-CEO of ABM, said in a statement.
