B-to-b ad pages fall 2.0% in September

New York—B-to-b print advertising pages declined 2.0% in September compared with the year-earlier period, according to Business Information Network figures released by American Business Media. B-to-b pages also dipped 0.02% in August after posting the first gain of the year in July, a month that saw b-to-b ad page growth of 0.34%.

Through the first three quarters of the year, ad pages were down 4.16% compared with the year-earlier period. This drop-off is stable compared with the double-digit declines that hammered the industry last year. The healthcare category, which accounts for almost one-quarter of b-to-b ad pages measured by BIN, is providing much of this stability with a 1.63% gain in ad pages through the first three quarters of this year.
