New York—B-to-b ad pages decreased 2.2% in September compared with September 2003, according to the Business Information Network report from American Business Media.
The BIN figures showed ad spending for September was down 1.9%. Year-to-date numbers showed ad revenue up 1.5% and pages up 0.3%.
The telecommunications sector posted the largest increase in September pages, up 17.4%. The travel sector showed the biggest decline, sliding 13.8%.
"September was a disappointment, given the strength of the July and August numbers," Gordon Hughes, ABM president-CEO, said in a statement. "We are still forecasting that we will end the year with 2% to 4% revenue growth."
