New York--B-to-b ad pages in July 2000 rose 12.3% over July 1999, according to information released by the Business Information Network. B-to-b ad page spending jumped 24.4% from last year. In the first seven months of the year, b-to-b ad pages were up 7% and spending 15%, compared with a year earlier. "The July growth outperformed our expectations. I am delighted to be wrong," said Gordon T. Hughes II, president-CEO of American Business Media. The ABM had predicted slowing growth for the third quarter of 2000. The Business Information Network is a joint venture between the ABM and Competitive Media Reporting.
