B-to-b ad pages start to bounce back

Published on .

New York—Following three months of declines, b-to-b ad pages increased nearly 2% in September compared with September 2004, according to the latest report by the Business Information Network compiled for American Business Media.

Year-to-date, ad pages were up 2.12% compared with the same period last year. They were boosted in part by solid gains in the automotive and banking/financial/insurance, up 20.2% and 14.6%, respectively. The retail/services category also lifted the overall numbers, up 9% year-to-date.

Ad revenue, which had also been in the doldrums, increased 3% in September and 4.63% year to date.
