B-to-b ad pages down

New York—B-to-b print advertising pages declined 0.3% in April compared with the year-earlier period, according to Business Information Network figures released by American Business Media. The BIN numbers show that ad pages are up 0.5% in the first four months of the year compared with the year-earlier period. In April, the automotive category posted the strongest gain in ad pages, at 13.1%, while the pharmaceuticals category experienced the steepest decline, at 15.4%. Year-to-date, the transportation and logistics category has posted the biggest increase, at 22.2%, while the electronic engineering category has seen the largest drop, at 11.7%.
