New York--David Ferm has been appointed to head Primedia Inc.'s Consumer Magazine and Media Group, succeeding John Loughlin. Ferm, a former publisher of Business Week, had been president of Primedia's Business-to-Business Group, which has been hammered by the ad recession. Charles McCurdy, president of Primedia, will oversee the b-to-b group on an interim basis. The corporate change came just two days after Primedia stock fell to an all-time low of $1 before finishing the week at $1.51.
