Published on .

Cambridge, Mass. -- The intercompany trade of hard goods via the Internet hit $43 billion in 1998, according to projections released by Forrester Research. The market research firm predicts that business-to-business Internet commerce will surge to $1.3 trillion by 2003, an annual growth rate of nearly 100%. Computing and electronics will lead the way, Forrester says, growing from $19.7 billion in 1998 to $395.3 billion in 2003.
