More b-to-b mags launched, fewer closed this year

New York—Fifty-six new b-to-b magazines were launched in the first nine months of this year, according to MediaFinder.com, an online database of U.S. and Canadian periodicals. That figure represents a 93% increase over the 29 b-to-b titles introduced in the year-earlier period. In the first nine months of this year, 34 b-to-b magazines folded compared with 44 in the year-earlier period. Overall, MediaFinder.com said that 200 magazines were launched in the first nine months of this year compared with 176 in the year-earlier period. In the same time frame, 128 magazines folded.
