B2BWorks said Wednesday that it has entered into a strategic alliance with directory site Switchboard Inc., Westboro, Mass. The deal calls for Switchboard.com to deliver to B2BWorks publishers a national b-to-b directory on the Internet. B2BWorks, which specializes in b-to-b advertising services, has established a telephone-marketing arm aimed at selling space on Internet directories. The Switchboard deal provides valuable content to jumpstart the directory plans of B2BWorks, Chicago. The Switchboard alliance also extends B2BWorks' strategy of providing its publishers with value-added Internet services to make their sites more interesting to visitors. B2BWorks has more than 300 publishers signed for representation in 50 vertical industries.
