B2BWorks enters pact with Phillips

Published on .

Chicago--B2BWorks, a specialist in providing b-to-b advertising services on the Internet, said Monday that it has signed Phillips Business Information, Potomac, Md., as a publisher on its ad-server network. The deal is a major boost for B2BWorks because Phillips adds content in 11 industries, including defense, cable, telecom and wireless. Phillips said it signed with B2BWorks because of its focus on b-to-b. Competitors such as DoubleClick, Engage and 24/7 Media are attempting to forge business ties, while also maintaining burgeoning consumer advertising businesses. B2BWorks said Phillips' sites were appealing because most are subscription sites. Visitors to the sites range from a few thousand up to 250,000 per month.
