Kansas City, Mo.—Barkley, an employee-owned advertising agency, has announced the debut of its new creative shop, Grenadier.
Boulder, Colo.-based Grenadier will focus on entrepreneurial brands and operate autonomously with its own clients, processes and P&L responsibilities.
Grenadier clients will have access to Barkley's capabilities, including design, production, CRM, interactive and social media, media buying and planning, and campaign analytics.
The agency's five initial partners—Jeff Graham, Rob Hofferman, Wade Paschall, Randy Rogers and Mark St. Amant—hail from some of the country's top advertising agencies, such as Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Grey Group and Sterling-Rice Group.
“In considering our next phase of growth, it was clear that this was a great opportunity for us to expand our business and add to our talent pool,” said Jeff King, CEO of Barkley, in a news release. “The partners at Grenadier will all have skin in the game, so we see this as a natural extension of our employee-owned business model.”
