Bascobert joins Bloomberg BusinessWeek from Dow Jones & Co., where he was CMO of the company’s consumer media group. He will report to Daniel L. Doctoroff, president of Bloomberg.

I couldn’t think of a better time to be joining the company,” Bascobert said in a statement. He succeeds Keith Fox, who resigned as BusinessWeek president after Bloomberg announced it agreed to acquire BusinessWeek from McGraw-Hill Cos. Fox has remained with McGraw Hill.
