BBC World selects BBDO New York for launch of news channel in U.S.

New York—BBC World has selected BBDO New York as its creative agency to help launch a 24-hour BBC World News channel in the U.S. BBDO will handle strategic and creative campaign development. Advertising is expected to roll out in June. BBC World has also selected Mediaedge:cia for media buying and planning, and Weber Shandwick for PR. Billings were undisclosed.
