BBDO Worldwide announces executive departure, new creative director

New York—BBDO Worldwide announced that Ted Sann, vice chairman-chief creative officer of BBDO North America, is leaving the agency. He will be succeeded by David Lubars, who has been named chairman-chief creative officer of BBDO North America.

Lubars was previously president of Minneapolis-based Fallon Worldwide and executive creative director of Fallon North America.

Sann’s career at BBDO spanned 34 years, and he received the Grand Prix at Cannes and many other awards for his creative work. BBDO declined to comment on the reason for Sann's departure or his plans for the future; Sann was not available for comment.
