Billboard promotes Werde to editorial director

New York—Nielsen Business Media announced Monday that Bill Werde, formerly executive editor of Billboard, has been promoted to editorial director for the brand, effective immediately. In his new role, Werde is responsible for leading the editorial strategy and vision for the Billboard brand, which includes the weekly publication, Web sites (Billboard.com and Billboard.biz) and other digital content offerings, as well as events. Werde succeeds Tamara Conniff, now president of music services at Front Line Management Group.
