Biz2Net adds Accrue to crunch numbers

Millbury, Mass.--Biz2Net Corp. partnered Tuesday with Accrue Software to provide analysis tools to its supply-chain services. Accrue's Hit List-software used to identify and track individual users on a site-will be re-sold by Biz2Net as a complement to its online business-to-business sales services. The deal underscores the growing importance of traffic analysis tools in Internet b-to-b sales, where early focus has been on processing transactions, guaranteeing availability of the Web sites and linking to existing telephone call center operations. ``Back-end integration is always important, but knowing where people are going and what they are doing on a site is the next step to help marketing departments make a site that much more effective,'' said Rob Rosenthal, research analyst at International Data Corp. Biz2Net's clients include Dragon Systems and Activision, who use the system to provide resellers with more effective sales channels.
