Blackfriars projects increase in Q2 marketing spending

Maynard, Mass.--Marketing executives expect to spend 58% more on marketing in the second quarter of this year than they spent on average per quarter in 2003, according to the Blackfriars Marketing Index for the second quarter. Blackfriars also announced Marketing Category Indices, which report on spending for eight different categories. According to the indices, spending on consultants and analyst relations/public relations will see the strongest growth in the second quarter, while spending on Web site development and collateral will see the weakest growth.
