Blackfriars sees big jump in marketing budgets

Maynard, Mass.—Companies expect to boost their marketing budgets 20% this year over last, according to Blackfriars Communications.

The research company paints a bright picture for marketing overall and noted that measurement has a big impact on spending. It said companies that measured their marketing results spent 90% of their marketing budgets in 2004, while nonmeasuring companies spent 67% of their marketing budget.
