Bloomberg to close ‘BusinessWeek SmallBiz’

New York—Bloomberg BusinessWeek announced Friday that it will cease publishing BusinessWeek SmallBiz.

The December/January issue will be the bimonthly publication’s last. Bloomberg said the small-business coverage included in the controlled-circulation magazine will be integrated into BusinessWeek’s Web site.

“BusinessWeek.com’s Small Business Channel will deliver the same quality journalism and insights that small-business professionals depend on, as well as targeted opportunities for advertisers looking to reach them,” said Bloomberg BusinessWeek Chairman Norman Pearlstine.

Fortune announced last month that it was closing Fortune Small Business, which had been a controlled-circulation magazine published for American Express.
