BMA hires management firm

Published on .

Chicago—The board of directors of the Business Marketing Association announced the hiring of Marketing Resources Ltd. to provide association management services for the organization.

Marketing Resources, Lakewood, Colo., will provide general association management and membership administration, as well as management of BMA programs including the annual conference, the Pro-Comm Awards and other events.

The BMA has been searching for new management since its board voted to remove former executive director Rick Kean in December. Kean stayed in his position through February to administer the BMA Pro-Comm Awards.

“The selection of Marketing Resources gives BMA a new model for highly professional and cost-effective management of our day-to-day activities, allowing BMA staff to focus on member service and the board to concentrate on strategic planning and implementation,” said John Favalo, chairman of BMA and managing partner at Eric Mower and Associates, Group B2B.
