BMA names Maag executive director, announces new board

Chicago—The Business Marketing Association has appointed Al Maag executive director. Maag, who served as chairman of the BMA for the 2011-12 term, recently retired as chief communications officer at Avnet. He succeeds Patrick Farrey, who will continue in his role as group VP at Kellen Co. The BMA also announced its 2013-14 board: Kathy Button Bell, VP-CMO at Emerson Electric Co., chairman; Steve Liguori, executive director, global innovation and new models at General Electric Co., vice chairman; George Stenitzer, VP-corporate marketing and communications at Tellabs Inc., VP-thought leadership; Chris Schermer, president, Schermer Inc., VP-marketing; and Bob Felsenthal, publisher, BtoB at Crain Communications, VP-membership. Gary Slack, chief experience officer at Slack & Co., will continue to serve as annual conference organizer and VP-professional development.
