Boeing unit takes new name

Seattle--FlightSafety Boeing Training International started its first day of operations with its new name--Alteon. The company is now a fully owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., which is headquartered in Chicago. Alteon was selected as the new name for the subsidiary in January. In October 2002, Boeing completed an agreement to acquire all of FlightSafety International’s interests in FSBTI. The company had operated as a joint venture between Boeing and FSI since 1997.
