Chicago--The Boeing Co. has revamped its Web site to update its image and increase navigability.The redesign, Boeing's first in three years, includes Macromedia Flash and text-only print-friendly versions. The home page features a U.S. Apache helicopter graphic. Rotating news flashes of Boeing's sales wins are also included; new announcements include a Boeing deal to upgrade 35 Egyptian AH-64A Apache helicopters into next-generation AH-64D Apaches.Boeing has also updated its secure login site, meant for purchasers of products including commercial jetliners, military aircraft, satellites and missile defense systems. The updated site also includes an e-business section, with subsections including aircraft trading, Exostar (Boeing's aerospace and defense industry e-marketplace) and surplus sales. Separate sections for Boeing subsidiaries, including Boeing Realty, Boeing Australia Ltd. and Boeing Travel Management Co., have also been established on the Web site. The Web site relaunch comes a month after Boeing selected Foote, Cone & Belding as its global advertising agency of record. The selection came following a four-month review that also included the Chicago offices of BBDO Worldwide and J. Walter Thompson.
