BPA Worldwide, in partnership with Nielsen Online, will offer monitoring of e-products for its current members, with no additional dues or fees. Glenn Hanson, president-CEO of BPA Worldwide, announced the initiative this month at the ABM/FIPP World Conference 2008 in New York. The service, scheduled to go live in January, will supplant BPA's existing Web log auditing service. Gannett Co. announced it has acquired an additional 10% stake in CareerBuilder from Tribune Co. for $135 million. The acquisition gives Gannett a 50.8% controlling interest in the online job site. Tribune now owns 30.8% of CareerBuilder. McClatchy Co. owns 14.4%, and Microsoft Corp., 4%. TechWeb's Light Reading Communications Network announced the acquisition of Pyramid Research, a market research and advisory service for the communications and media industries. Financial terms were not disclosed. Pyramid will be integrated with Heavy Reading, the market research arm of Light Reading. Privately held GIE Media has acquired four publications from Branch-Smith Publishing. The titles are: Garden Center, Garden Center Product Source, Greenhouse Management & Production and Nursery Management & Production. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
