BPA International approves rules change

Published on .

Shelton, Conn.--Print media auditor BPA International announced it has approved changes to both business publication and consumer magazine rules.

As part of its business publication rules, BPA's board of directors voted to assign expiration dates to special marketing statements and audit reports, including supplementary statements.

The board also agreed to reaffirm its circulation telemarketing guidelines to verify subscription requests; verification can be obtained via a subscriber or that person's administrative assistant, which BPA calls an "authorized assistant."

BPA also shot down the suggestion that that such authority be expanded to include other employees managed by the recipient or a recipient's peers or superiors.
