BroadVision taps exchange partners

Published on .

Redwood City, Calif.--BroadVision Inc. has tapped several new partners--including one surprise pick--to help it roll out its recently announced procurement and e-marketplace platforms. BroadVision said it would team with Adexa Inc., maker of supply chain and collaborative planning tools. Adexa will help BroadVision develop trading exchanges where companies procure direct materials that are fed straight into manufacturing processes. Also Tuesday, in a bit of a surprise, the vendor teamed with would-be competitor Commerce One Inc., which markets its own competing procurement and marketplace software. But Commerce One also has its MarketSite.Net portal, which offers back-end services that can be tapped into by a front-end procurement system such as the new BroadVision platform.
