Business publications among National Magazine Award finalists

New York—Wired, BusinessWeek and Fast Company were among the business publications magazines named finalists Wednesday for the National Magazine Awards, which are overseen by the American Society of Magazine Editors.

Wired is a finalist in three categories: general excellence for circulation of 500,000 to 1 million, magazine section, interactive feature and design. BusinessWeek is a finalist for general excellence online and public interest reporting. Fast Company is a finalist in general excellence for circulation of 500,000 to 1 million and reporting.

Other b-to-b titles that are finalists are: The Economist (general excellence for circulation of 500,000 to 1 million) and IEEE Spectrum (single issue).

The winners will be announced April 30.
