Since May 2007, Rooney has led sales efforts for the print Journal and the Wall Street Journal Digital Network. In August, SmartMoney ceased print publication, but an expanded digital news team became part of a co-branded section of MarketWatch.com. Rooney oversees a dedicated advertising sales team responsible for ensuring the continued success of what he called “SmartMoney's strong, trusted content and innovative tools.”
