Bascobert came to Bloomberg in 2009 from Dow Jones & Co., where he was CMO of the consumer media group. He has helped turn around Bloomberg Businessweek, which has taken advantage of Bloomberg's more than 2,000 journalists worldwide to expand its global coverage. The magazine's ad pages surged 15.8% in the first half of the year, compared with the year-earlier period, according to Publishers Information Bureau figures.
