Business Wire debuts news release reporting enhancements

San Francisco—Underscoring the emerging importance of online news releases to marketers, information distribution company Business Wire announced enhancements to its NewsTrak Access report of viewer interaction with online news.

Key additions to NewsTrak Access include search terms to improve search optimization and the ability of online viewers to find specific news; referral links that identify Web sites from which users click through to releases; an accounting of returning visitors; link-reporting of the number of clicks on embedded hyperlinks in releases; and a report on views from social media sites such as Facebook or MySpace.

Business Wire said the enhancements will enable corporate customers to better understand their online audience and refine future communications.
