Business Wire enhances social media news release platform

San Francisco—News release distribution service Business Wire has augmented its Enhanced Online News (EON) Web-based social media platform to allow users increased visibility and sharing of news releases.

Key enhancements include weighting of the most popular keywords as determined by Business Wire’s EON community, with the keywords appearing in a larger font; moving the Web site preview frame higher up within the news release to help drive traffic to the user’s Web site; and adding more social networking icons to allow viewers to share more easily news releases on more than a dozen social sites, including Buzz, Delicious, Digg, Facebook, Slashdot and Twitter, according to the company.
