'BusinessWeek' nabs Byrne

New York—BusinessWeek announced Monday that John Byrne, formerly editor in chief of Fast Company, will join the magazine as executive editor-magazine. Fast Company was recently acquired along with Inc. magazine by Manseuto Ventures, and Byrne was said to be instrumental in convincing the buyer to keep struggling Fast Company open. Two other executive editors were appointed: Joyce Barnathan, who has been assistant managing editor at BusinessWeek, is executive editor-global franchise, and Kathy Rebello, who was also assistant managing editor at BusinessWeek, is executive editor-online.
