New York—BusinessWeek announced that Executive Editor John Byrne has been named executive editor/editor in chief at BusinessWeek.com. Byrne succeeds Kathy Rebello, who left the Web site. In his new role, Byrne will be responsible for editorial operations of BusinessWeek.com as well as enhancing the integration between the print and online editorial staffs. Byrne returned to BusinessWeek in August 2005 after a brief stint as editor in chief of Fast Company. Prior to joining Fast Company, he had worked for BusinessWeek for 18 years.
