Cahners buys eLogic

New York-based Cahners Business Information has acquired eLogic Corp., Los Angeles, for $79 million. ELogic is an application service provider specializing in Web-based content management and delivery systems for media companies. With the move, Cahners hopes to move into the business of providing Internet content management systems to publishers. Cahners plans to maintain the eLogic brand and Cahners CEO Marc Teren said the company plans to boost capital investment in eLogic.
