Newton, Mass.--Cahners Business Information detailed a restructuring of its core magazine operations, including manufacturing, production and circulation. "These operations had been fragmented across Cahners with many different reporting relationships," said Tom Nutile, the company's manager of corporate communications. "This reorganization aligns these operations under one executive to improve the overall coordination, efficiency and quality of our magazine operations." These operations have been centralized under Bill O'Brien, who was named exec VP-operations. In his new role, Mr. O'Brien will report to Brian Nairn, exec VP-business publications. Mr. O'Brien had formerly held the post of senior VP-periodicals in the Cahners Travel Group. His duties are being assumed by Kevin Condon, formerly senior VP-destination information, Cahners Travel Group. Mr. Condon now holds the title exec VP-Cahners Travel Group. Cahners stated previously that no executives lost their jobs in this restructuring. Brian Kardon resigned effective July 30, and his title of senior VP-marketing is being eliminated.
