One of the industry's most-seasoned reporters, Sean Callahan, has returned to BtoB and BtoB's Media Business as media editor. Callahan, who held the same position in a previous stint at Crain Communications Inc. from 1998 to 2006, was most recently the founding editor of Masters Athlete magazine. “Especially now, in these dramatic, turbulent times in the media industry, we're thrilled to have Sean back on the beat full time,” said Ellis Booker, editor of BtoB and BtoB's Media Business. “It's safe to say we've now got the best b-to-b media reporting staff in the industry.” As media editor, Callahan will cover media and advertising from a b-to-b marketing perspective. In addition to his experience at Crain and Masters Athlete, Callahan worked as a reporter for newspapers in Chicago and Steamboat Springs, Colo. He also served as copywriter and creative director at b-to-b advertising agencies in Chicago, including McKinney Chicago. Callahan is a 1987 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in English and philosophy. He also is the author of several children's books, including “A is for Ara” and “A Wild Father's Day,” which is due out in the spring. Callahan can be reached at scallahan@crain.com or (773) 755-2847.
