Canadian printer buys CC3

Montreal--Canadian commercial printing giant Transcontinental Thursday announced it has acquired CC3, an Ivyland, Pa.-based direct marketing lettershop, for $101 million in cash and about $5 million in stock. Transcontinental acquired CC3 to expand into the U.S. direct marketing industry, according to Luc Desjardins, president-CEO of Transcontinental. Don McKenzie, CC3 president-CEO, will remain with the company.
