Captivate, which was acquired by Gannett Co. in April, plans to add about 4,000 elevators in the top 20 markets during the next 20 months, enabling its advertisersâ messages to reach close to 3 million people per day. Currently, Captivate is seen on approximately 4,500 screens in North America, delivering nearly 30 million impressions per month.
Captivate is also introducing a new pricing structure for new buildings. Buildings will no longer be charged an upfront fee for installation, but rather a monthly fee for the service, akin to a cable TV subscription. Captivate said the new pricing structure will make it easier for buildings to add the network to their elevators.
