Published on .

Minneapolis--Cargill Inc. has selected Gaithersburg, Md.-based GE Global eXchange Services to develop b-to-b e-commerce platforms that will link Cargill and its trading partners. GXS, the e-hub arm of General Electric Co., will develop b-to-b transaction processing, electronic document management, and support and consulting services to Cargill, a major agricultural processor and marketer. The deal is the latest coup for GXS, which competes with IBM Global Services, the most prominent advisor to b-to-b e-hubs.
