New York—The Interactive Advertising Bureau announced the organization's board has elected Bob Carrigan, CEO of IDG Communications, as its new chairman. Carrigan has served for five years on the IAB board.

He succeeds David J. Moore, chairman of 24/7 Real Media, in the IAB post. “In the coming months, the IAB will be focused on leading the industry on some challenging and exciting issues—from mobile to local to privacy,” Carrigan said in a statement. “I look forward to playing an integral role building and expanding on IAB's legacy of outstanding accomplishment and guiding the interactive landscape of tomorrow.”
