Carter-Miller leaves Motorola for Office Depot

Del Ray Beach, Fla.--Jocelyn Carter-Miller left her job last week as chief marketing officer at Motorola Inc. to take the newly created position of exec VP-CMO at Office Depot. Carter-Miller will report to Bruce Nelson, Office Depot's chairman-CEO. In her new role, Carter-Miller will have responsibility for the company's marketing efforts across its retail, contract, catalog and e-commerce businesses. Carter-Miller spent nine years at Motorola and before that worked for Mattel Inc. "In2002 we are now turning our efforts to a more aggressive focus on attracting and retaining business customers across all channels," Nelson said. "Jocelyn brings with her a wealth of knowledge and almost 20 years of experience in how to speak to customers and attract, retain and grow profitable relationships."
