New York—CBS Corp. last week announced it has re-branded its radio division as CBS Radio. The division was formerly known as Infinity Broadcasting; it includes 179 radio stations, the majority of which are in the nation’s top 50 markets. The re-branding comes as Viacom prepares to split itself in two, a move that is expected to be completed Dec. 31. The new Viacom will own MTV Networks and Paramount Pictures, among other assets. The other part, CBS Inc., will own the CBS Television Network and CBS Radio.
